Bill of Material (BOM) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) Coordinator

Reporting to the Product Engineering Manager, the BOM and ECO Coordinator will set up a materials list and create machine routings that direct production through the process of building that product. Other daily tasks include creating new part numbers, updating existing parts per change requests, and maintaining updated drawing revisions for existing parts. The BOM and ECO Coordinator works closely with production to resolve issues related to the materials list and/or routings.

Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit LDJ’s core values and culture in all aspects of the job.
  • Provide BOM related support for Engineering, Procurement, and Production.
  • Optimize BOM structure to drive material requirements and execute production builds.
  • Review ECO content and structure for accuracy - including cost analysis, auditing BOM changes, and other required validation activities.
  • Ensure timely execution of ECO activities through a regular cadence of reviews and updates.
  • Update ERP and other business systems based on content of completed ECO’s.
  • Manage BOM data for legacy products.
  • Maintain an effective communication plan for change releases to ensure the organization is properly informed.
  • Drive adherence to business processes, especially for ECO’s and related functions.
  • Verify that the documents that are related to the BOM, such as work instructions, fixture drawings, and equipment BOM’s are properly documented and completed.

Custodian (Part Time)

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Custodian will be responsible for cleaning and supplying designated building areas as well as performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities. This role works independently and as part of a team within Maintenance to ensure objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, office & restroom cleaning etc.).
  • Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
  • Clean windows and mirrors.
  • Remove waste and empty trash.

Assembly Operator

The Assembler l completes kitting, assembly and packaging processes according to established operating procedures.

Responsibilities
Principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment.
  • Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans and established procedures.
  • Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to products and processes.
  • Utilize designated personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).

Requirements
Desired qualifications:

    Maintenance Technician

    Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position performs a variety of work in general maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and building. The position requires a possession of a valid Iowa driver’s license, along with a good driving record. This position will perform work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of the establishment in repair.

    • General maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and buildings.
    • Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, servo controllers, and safety circuits.

    • Understand and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
    • Proficient at reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

    Compliance Specialist

    LDJ Manufacturing is seeking a Compliance Specialist to ensure that our operations adhere to legal standards and in-house policies. Duties will include monitoring business operations, reviewing company policies for possible risks and liabilities, and researching legal requirements for new initiatives. This role will be responsible for reporting any compliance breaches and appropriately corresponding with government agencies. The Compliance Specialist will monitor and report on any regulatory changes within the industry and advise the leadership team on how new laws might impact current operations or future business prospects. Our goal is to preserve the company’s integrity by ensuring compliance and operating within legal and ethical guidelines.

    Responsibilities
    Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
    • Direct the development of compliance-related policies and procedures and verify that they have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
    • Perform periodic reviews or audits of business procedures to ensure compliance.
    • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
    • Analyze and interpret state and federal regulations to advise on necessary compliance actions.
    • Consult with external attorneys as necessary to address complex legal compliance issues.
    • Keep informed regarding emerging or pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
    • File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies and maintain documentation of compliance activities.
    • Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to enforcement agencies as required.
    • Closely manage any company recalls for vehicle safety defects and provide management updates. Includes identifying issues that qualify as safety defects, filing reports with NHTSA, drafting owner and dealer notification letters, reviewing technical service bulletins, and monitoring recall completion rates
    • Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures. Including training for the sale steam and dealers on hazmat regulations and exemptions, CDL regulations, and intended use of company products.
    • Prepare reports and advise management regarding compliance programs and progress.
    • Monitor compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness.

    • Follow-up for collection of payment.
    • Direct calls to end customers.
    • Participating in product innovation initiatives when requested.
    • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports.
    • Monthly and Annual territory analysis and forecasts.
    • Attendance at National and Regional trade shows, seminars, and dealer events.
    • Other duties as management delegates.
    Requirements
    Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Skills/Qualities:
    • Agricultural and/or construction machinery background and familiarity with retail and wholesale distribution.
    • Experience successfully managing equipment dealer relationships.
    • Experience at either dealership level or with Ag/Construction machinery company.
    • Experience in developing a dealer network.
    • Excellent negotiation skills and expertise knowledge in finance close sales.
    • Highly proven interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skill set.
    Education and Training:
    • Five + years of outside B2B territory sales experience.
    • Proficient computer use including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
    • Valid driver’s license, CDL endorsement is preferred. Passport will be required for possible international travel.
    Travel
    • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
