ERP Implementation Manager

Responsibilities

Compliance Specialist

LDJ Manufacturing is seeking a Compliance Specialist to ensure that our operations adhere to legal standards and in-house policies. Duties will include monitoring business operations, reviewing company policies for possible risks and liabilities, and researching legal requirements for new initiatives. This role will be responsible for reporting any compliance breaches and appropriately corresponding with government agencies. The Compliance Specialist will monitor and report on any regulatory changes within the industry and advise the leadership team on how new laws might impact current operations or future business prospects. Our goal is to preserve the company’s integrity by ensuring compliance and operating within legal and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
  • Direct the development of compliance-related policies and procedures and verify that they have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
  • Perform periodic reviews or audits of business procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.

Design Engineer

Reporting to the Product Engineering Manager, the Design Engineer invents, designs, tests, documents, and prepares new designs for implementation using CAD tools. In addition to designing mechanical systems, this position will also work with basic electrical systems (including wiring harnesses) and hydraulic systems. This role also provides design support for the manufacturing and service team as required.

Accounts Receivable

LDJ Manufacturing is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this postion will be responsible for ensuring the company receives payment for goods and services offered to customers.

Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
  • Determines taxability and assesses correct sales tax on items invoiced; maintains sales tax exemption documentation according to regulation.
  • Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
  • Works with Accounting Manager to identify delinquent accounts and makes initial contact with delinquent accountholders to request payment.
  • Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Accounting Manager and other staff.
  • Collaborates with the Accounting Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
  • Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
  • Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
  • Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
  • Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Tool & Fixture Maker

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Tool, Die, and Fixture Maker is responsible for the design, development, building, calibration and repair of tools, jigs, fixtures, and other items utilized in a robotic manufacturing environment. The Tool, Die, and Fixture Maker will work collaboratively with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams in the development of these items.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient in designing jigs, fixtures, and other items in 3D CAD (SolidWorks strongly preferred).
  • Previous experience building jigs and fixtures – weld fixture experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints including machining tolerances, GD&T, and weld symbols.
  • Ability to build jigs and fixtures to print using manual and CNC machining equipment, welders, hand tools, etc., including the ability to program CNC both conversationally and with G & M Codes.
  • Ability to set up CNC equipment for production runs including cutting tool selection and inventory.
  • Understand the use of hydraulic and pneumatic clamping / sequencing and can install and maintain these systems.
  • Ability to set-up and run all standard machine shop equipment- lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position performs a variety of work in general maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and building. The position requires a possession of a valid Iowa driver’s license, along with a good driving record. This position will perform work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of the establishment in repair.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • General maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and buildings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, servo controllers, and safety circuits.
  • Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools, operate a forklift, skid loader, and tractor.
  • Understand and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Proficient at reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform basic plumbing and carpentry work.
  • Run conduit and pull wire.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s and electrical principles.
  • Ability to use testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tagout and proper PPE.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, reasoning, analytical problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written along with time management and organizational skills.
  • HVAC knowledge a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • 2-year degree or equivalent and/or 3 years’ experience in a related field
Travel:
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time with a valid driver’s license.

Assembler I

The Assembler l completes kitting, assembly and packaging processes according to established operating procedures.

Responsibilities
Principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment.
  • Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans and established procedures.
  • Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to products and processes.
  • Utilize designated personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Cross train to other departments as needed.
  • Other duties as needed.
Requirements
Desired qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful candidates need to possess a technical/mechanical aptitude for safely utilizing hand and power tools in the manufacture of heavy industrial equipment.
  • Individual should have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and able to perform their assigned duties, in a quality manner with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, bill-of-materials (BOM), shop routings and blueprints.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be willing to learn and practice continuous improvement techniques such as 5S, one piece flow, value stream mapping, set-up reduction, poka-yoke (mistake proofing), Kan-Ban etc.
  • Ability to work on feet for a 10-hour shift.
